Tamarind chutney is a tangy, sweet, and slightly spicy condiment commonly used in Indian cuisine. It’s especially popular as an accompaniment to snacks and street foods like samosas, pakoras, chaat, and pani puri.
Sweet Tamarind Chutney
Ingredients
Tamarind 120gm
Khajur 120gm
Jaggery 450gm
Hot water 4 cup
Salt 2tsp
Black salt 2tsp
Red chilli powder 2tsp
Sugar 2tbsp
Fennel powder 2tsp
Roasted jeera powder 2tsp
Chaat masala 1/2tsp
Method
Take a bowl add Tamarind,khajoor, jaggery and hot water keep for one hour
Now grind it make a fine puree and stain it
Now take a pan add stain puree,water, all above ingredients accept funnel powder
Now boil it for 5 min
Switch off the gas add funnel powder mix well and cool it.

- Sweet from jaggery or sugar.
- Spicy (optional) from chili powder or pepper.
- Earthy and aromatic from roasted cumin and ginger.
